T-100 executives updated local leaders during a whirlwind of meetings that started on Thursday, September 14, 2017 in the morning at the Tuskegee History Center. The meetings extended into the afternoon at the Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site. The following day on Friday, September 15th, the T-100 delegation met with Tuskegee University officials.
Local stakeholders assured the Leonardo DRS delegation that the community supports the T-100 project and some spoke in specific terms about why the relationship is a good fit.
Macon County Schools Superintendent Dr. Jacqueline Brooks explained how the school system is already emphasizing Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) to equip students for STEM related careers.
