Solar Eclipse: Balance, Change and Acceptance
Solar Eclipse: Balance, Change and Acceptance – This is how I felt at the end, in reflection mode. But being present for the Solar Eclipse in Seattle, Washington where people take Mother Nature super-seriously was eye-opening.
I’m sure everyone has heard about or experienced the Solar Eclipse that occurred on Aug 21, 2017. It was definitely an interesting phenomenon, especially for me since I’ve never been interested in the Solar Eclipse or full moons. But, this year it seems it was impossible to ignore.
Once I heard about this historical event…I began to do my own research. It quickly became apparent that this was a pretty big deal since the last total Solar Eclipse of this kind was in March 1979 . However, it all started to make sense to me spiritually. So I will explain my perspective of this solar episode.
I am surrounded by many people who are interested in astrology, so I have learned a lot from them and also through my own independent research. I have discovered that the sun represents Ego- a masculine energy. And the moon represents Emotion- a feminine energy. Yet, during this total Solar Eclipse the moon would fully block out the sun.
This cosmic event is very symbolic and in alignment with many of the social-political issues and events that are happening in America during this time. Currently we are experiencing racism, homophobia, global warming and much more.
I trully believe that this is not a coincidence because I believe in the statement “As above, so below.” This Solar Eclipse symbolized a huge transition that is currently taking place in America and around the world. The total Solar Eclipse symbolized wholeness, unity and balance. We literally saw the sun and moon coming together as one. Though, in Westernized society we experience much division and opposition, I believe the universe is trying to communicate to us.
Quite frankly this is the time we should be listening and making sure we are in alignment with the transitions that are currently taking place. Though many of us are afraid and skeptical of change, we must learn to accept it and co-exist.
This is what true unity is. Aside from the great energy and visial experience, I must say that there are many things I learned from this total Solar Eclipse. The three most important lessons involve balance, change and acceptance.
