Gucci Mane Coming
It is official; Gucci Mane is coming to Tuskegee University on April 13th. So, if you doubted the Student Government Association (SGA) then you shouldn’t have, because they have made a huge comeback from the disappointing 2017 Homecoming Week.
If you are a fan like me, Gucci Mane needs no introduction, but for those of you who are unfamiliar, I am prepared to provide you with some noteworthy facts.
Radric Delantic Davis, known professionally as “Gucci Mane” is an Atlanta based rapper. He is a trap music guru. He released his first album “Trap House” in 2005, followed by three other albums. It was not until he released his fifth album, “The State vs. Radric Davis,” that he received his first gold certified album. The top singles from this album are: “Lemonade,” “Wasted,” and “Spotlight.” His music career began to take off, but sadly Gucci Mane was in and out trouble with the law over the years.
On May 13, 2014 Gucci Mane pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He was released in 2016 and wasted no time getting back in the studio. The same year Gucci Mane received his first number-one single on the US Billboard Hot 100 from his collaboration with Rae Sremmurd, titled “Black Beatles.” He went on to produce several top hits with famous artists such as, Drake, Migos, Chris Brown and Young Thug. His latest album is titled “Before Anything.” However, I’m sure everyone will be waiting to hear Gucci Mane’s old hit “I Think I Love Her.”
Lastly, you cannot mention Gucci Mane without bringing up his lovely wife Keyshia Ka’oir, the two are inseparable, and many are wondering if she will be making an appearance alongside her husband.
Either way April 13th should be a fun filled night and will make this SGA Week, an experience to remember.
